Follow in Wellington’s boots and join us on a journey of handmade food and foot-trodden grapes as we bring some of the best wines from the banks of the Douro river to London’s Bankside.
The Ports and wines of the Douro valley have been flowing into our glasses and onto our wine lists for more than 200 years, since the Duke of Wellington put the region, famous for its battles and barrels, in the spotlight.
The indigenous grape varieties will be paired with inventive dishes from Swan’s Allan Pickett, including Smoked eel with brioche croûtes; Grilled Sussex lamb cutlets with roast Crown Prince pumpkin; and a Gianduja Valrhona chocolate tart with preserved cherries, paired with a 30-year-old tawny Port.
Don your wellies, grab your glasses and call 020 7928 9444 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to join us on our journey down the Douro on the 10th October from 7:30pm. Tickets cost £75 and include five courses, plus wine pairings.
